Hi, I’m Dr. Lauren! I help families and schools understand what’s really going on—so they can stop guessing and start building systems that work.

I hold my Master’s degree in Education: Curriculum and Instruction with a Specialization in Neuroscience and Education, and a PhD in Educational Psychology: Human Development and Family Science. But more importantly, I have spent my career inside the systems that shape children’s lives—classrooms, campuses, research spaces, and family conversations.

Over the years, I’ve worked as a classroom teacher, education specialist, gifted and talented education campus coordinator, academic advisor, research fellow, teaching fellow, and editorial assistant. I’ve supported children and young people across developmental stages and worked with adults at every level of the system, from parents and teachers to administrators and institutions.

Because children don’t experience education, behavior, or learning in isolation. They experience them through systems—family routines, school expectations, relationships, stress, communication, and environments that either fit or don’t fit.

I also partner with schools to understand what behavior is communicating, identify where systems are misaligned or overloaded, build practical, supportive structures that help children thrive, and reduce overwhelm by focusing on what actually matters.

My work sits at the intersection of research, education, and family life. I translate complex neuroscience, developmental science, and educational research into guidance that makes sense and can be used by parents and educators.

I don’t believe in fixing kids. I believe in understanding them.

Behavior in information. Learning is contextual. And when we shift the systems around a child, change not only becomes possible, it becomes sustainable.

My approach is evidence-informed, compassionate, and direct. No shame. No one-size-fits-all advice. No quick fixes that don’t stick.
